Meet the West Covina Team Behind Walt’s Insulation
When you call Walt’s Insulation, the person who answers isn’t reading from a script in another state. They’re part of a crew that lives and works right here in West Covina and the surrounding San Gabriel Valley. We’ve been at this since 2000, and most of our people have been with us for years, not months. What ties us together is simple: we show up on time, we do the job correctly the first time, and we stand behind it with the Done Right Promise. That’s not a marketing line. It’s how Walt runs the business, and it’s how the whole team works.

Walt Brenner, Owner
Walt started this company in 2000 with one truck, a blower machine, and a simple idea: treat every house like it’s his own. He’s still the one who answers the phone at odd hours and still walks job sites in West Covina, Baldwin Park, and Covina regularly. After 25 years of pulling fiberglass out of attics and spraying foam into crawl spaces, Walt has seen just about every insulation problem a Southern California house can throw at you. He’ll be the first to tell you that some homes don’t need more insulation. They need better air sealing. Or a rodent problem handled before new fiberglass goes down. His favorite part of the job hasn’t changed since day one: the phone call a month after the job, when a customer mentions their air conditioner finally cycles off in July. “That’s the whole point,” he’ll say. “Comfort you can measure on your energy bill.”
Miguel R., Lead Technician
Miguel has been with Walt’s since 2008, which makes him the longest-running technician on the crew. He’s certified by Owens Corning for their attic systems and handles most of our spray foam work with Icynene and Demilec products in West Covina and La Puente. Miguel grew up in El Monte and knows the older housing stock around the valley better than most building inspectors. Ranch homes with no eave vents, 1960s construction with open top plates, converted garages with zero insulation in the walls. He can spot the problem in five minutes and explain it in plain English. Off the clock, Miguel coaches his son’s Little League team in West Covina and claims his truck is the only one on the crew that has never blown a tire on the 10 freeway. Nobody can prove him wrong.
Denise T., Service Coordinator
Denise is usually the first voice you hear when you call Walt’s Insulation. She’s been handling scheduling, estimates, and customer calls since 2015, and she’s the reason our phones get answered by a live person 24/7. No voicemail, no answering service, no “press 2 for billing.” Denise keeps the schedule moving, coordinates the free second opinions we offer on written estimates, and knows which crew member fits which job. She grew up in West Covina, went to high school here, and still lives ten minutes from the shop. If you call with a question about insulation removal costs or need someone to walk you through what to expect on install day, Denise has the answer. And if she doesn’t, she’ll get Walt on the line before you hang up.
Anthony B., Senior Installer
Anthony joined the crew in 2017 after working residential construction in Fontana and Ontario. He specializes in crawl space encapsulation and vapor barrier work, which means he spends a lot of time under houses most people never think about. That’s fine with him. Anthony is our go-to installer for blown-in fiberglass from Johns Manville and Knauf, and he handles most of our attic air sealing jobs, which require more patience than anything else. He’s known on the crew for keeping a clean job site. Drop cloths down, attic ladder wiped clean, no stray fiberglass left on the driveway. When he’s not under a house, Anthony restores old cars and drives a ’72 Chevy that he rebuilt himself. You can sometimes hear it before you see it.
One Standard, Every Job
